Wheaton Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks

Once again the parade and fireworks were a great success.  Thanks to every who help make the day possible!

The Parade

The Grand Marshall was Andrew Ayers.  The parade theme was "Wheaton, a town for all seasons."  It had over 100 entries, including Governor Jim Edgar.

The parade winners were:

• Best Interpretation of Theme:
      Clance's Creative Beauty Looks
• Most Beautiful:
      Wheaton Nurseries
• Most Humorous:
      Funway Entertainment
• Most Patriotic:
      Wheaton Notary Noon
• Most Creative:
      WDSRA, wheelchair basketball
• Best Antique or Restored Vehicle:
      Andy Nelson, antique tractor
• Best Musical Marching Unit:
      Chicago Highlanders

  Thanks to everyone who participated and to the tens of thousands who came out to see the parade.
